History:
The German Canadian Business Association is a social / Business club founded, in Vancouver, in 1963 by members of the German Canadian community in order to promote common business interest and to better relations with the Canadian community at large. The Group has regular dinner meetings at various Metro Vancouver locations.
Mission Statement:
"Our mission is to actively promote and foster professional and social relationships and to contribute to the enhancement of our European heritage."
Objectives:
To support business interests and the general welfare of the German Canadian Community and the general public.
To further business, trade, and commerce locally and globally.
To improve and enhance the image of the German Canadian community in the eyes of the general public.
To encourage and strengthen the bonds of friendship and good fellowship and to maintain the German language, heritage and culture.
Dinner Meetings:
Ten business meetings are held alternately on Tuesdays or Wednesdays over dinner at different hotels, clubs or restaurants in the Vancouver Area. A monthly newsletter announces date, time, place, and guest speaker. Speakers are selected on topics of interest to members, to promote and further business ideas and contacts.

Social Activities:
The Association sponsors several social events each year, most prominent of which is the traditional Christmas dinner dance.
